Looking for a Vibe Kanban alternative? Meet Kanzai.

Kanzai is a native desktop kanban board for Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity and OpenCode. Drag a card into Development and an agent starts in its own worktree and branch. Read the diff when it is done, then drag the card into Approved to merge it.

WHAT KANZAI IS

A kanban board where the columns run your coding agents.

Kanzai is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. Each card on the board is a task, and moving a card does the work: Development starts an agent, Review holds the finished diff, and Approved merges the branch.

It runs the real Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity and OpenCode CLIs on your own machine, signed in the way you already are. Kanzai itself needs no account and no API key, and your data stays in one local file.

If you are weighing tools for this, try Kanzai on a real repo and judge it on your own work. It is free to use. Kanzai is an independent product and is not affiliated with Vibe Kanban or its makers.

WHAT YOU GET

Every session on a card

Each Claude Code session belongs to a card. The board shows which agents are working, waiting, or ready for your review.

The real agent CLIs

Kanzai runs the Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity and OpenCode CLIs you already use, each card with its own pick. Read the transcript, or switch to the terminal.

Isolated by default

Every card gets its own session, worktree, and branch. Agents can change the same repo without stepping on each other.

Review without switching tools

Read the diff, comment on individual lines, and send all your feedback back to the agent in one go.

Merge on your terms

You choose the order of the merge queue. A card that has fallen behind shows how far behind it is, whether it conflicts, and a Rebase button. If something fails, Kanzai stops and shows exactly what made it in.

Pick up where you left off

On macOS and Linux, sessions keep running in tmux even when Kanzai is closed. Reopen the app and carry on.

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH KANZAI

01

Install Kanzai

Download it for macOS, Windows or Linux. It is free and needs no account. Have Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity or OpenCode installed and signed in.

02

Add your local repos

Connect one or more checkouts. Kanzai finds the branches and gives every task an isolated place to work.

03

Drag a card into Development

Write what you want done on a card. Drag it into Development and a Claude Code session starts on the card's own branch.

04

Review, then approve

Finished work waits in Review. Comment on lines to send it back, or drag the card into Approved and the merge queue merges it.

Try Kanzai on your own repo.

Run Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity and OpenCode side by side from one local board. Drag cards to start agents, reviews, and merges. Keep using the subscription you already pay for.
